Laura B. Kasper is a psychologist providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to adults in the Washington, D.C. area.My approach focuses clients on themselves - their needs, wants, values, strengths, and areas for growth. I think therapy is most successful when clients set the agenda for us to address together, and when they feel safe enough to do so. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients with respect to gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and presenting concerns. I earned my master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Maryland's Counseling Psychology program. I am insured and licensed in the District of Columbia. I am an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I am highly committed to my own professional development. As a result, I participate regularly in training and continuing education courses at both the local and national level.
